Making Fitness Fun

by | Feb 17, 2021 | 0 comments

As we move through the daily hustle and bustle of life, taking care of our various tasks, we may sometimes neglect to give ourselves the “me” time that our bodies so deserve and need. Our To-Do lists generally don’t have a task on them that states “have fun” or “take care of yourself!” It’s so important to make sure we fit time into our busy schedules to do something that makes us feel good in order for us to keep going and stay energized.

A practical outlet for women living in Israel is working out. For some people, their exercise consists of getting off the bus early and walking those extra few stops. Other people have personal trainers that come to their apartments and help them workout. Not everyone enjoys working out though, and those who do often lack the motivation to do so.

Zumba is a great balance for the people who want an outlet but aren’t exactly looking for an intense workout. For those who aren’t familiar with it, Zumba is an exercise class that combines dance moves with cardio exercise moves. The dances follow along the beat to fast-paced, upbeat music. In a Zumba class, the routines are repetitive giving everyone a chance to follow along, even those who may not be dancers naturally. Zumba is also a great way to socialize. If your busy schedule doesn’t leave you time to get together with friends, a Zumba class will give you a chance to meet new people and socialize.

Zumba is one of the most affordable forms of exercise and while most workouts make you suffer but then feel good only after the class, Zumba allows you to enjoy yourself during the class and feel good afterward! In just 1 hour Zumba will leave you feeling energized and refreshed, and ready to take on the day.

Gila mammon is a certified Zumba instructor who has been teaching Zumba for years. She currently gives a class at the WorkOut Zone studio in Maalot Dafna. She gives private classes as well and will travel for groups or seminaries. She can be reached at 0531803469 or
